APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applying for admission is a two step process:Step One: University Application
Step Two: Psychology Department Application
All information and forms must be received by Graduate Admissions and the Psychology Department by the appropriate deadlines to be guaranteed consideration for current academic year admission. It is your responsibility to be sure all information is received. All applicants whose files are complete by the appropriate dates will be reviewed and considered for admission to classified status. Late applicants may be considered if there are openings and will be notified by letter as to their acceptance or non-acceptance into their respective programs.
- STEP ONE: UNIVERSITY APPLICATION
All students, including graduating seniors from this university, who plan to enroll as postbaccalaureate or graduate students for the first time, must file a formal university graduate application and pay a $55 nonrefundable application fee.
Former graduate students of the university must apply for readmission if: (a) they have been absent for more than one quarter (excluding summer sessions) immediately preceding the quarter for which readmission is sought, or (b) they have attended other colleges during their absences from California State University, San Bernardino. Students who are reapplying must again pay the $55 application fee.
Students who completed their undergraduate coursework at a university other than CSUSB, or who have attended other colleges during their absences from CSUSB, must submit official transcripts to the Office of Graduate Admissions for each institution attended.

Important information for completing application
The department strongly suggests that students apply to the university at least a month in advance of our deadline to allow sufficient time for the university to input you into the system and generate essential paperwork for your file.
If you are an unclassified graduate student or currently enrolled in another graduate program at CSUSB, you must file a change of program form with the graduate admissions office in lieu of the university application.
If you will be applying to more than one graduate program on campus, please contact the Graduate Admissions office at (909) 537-5030 to submit additional PART B sections of the university application.
- STEP TWO: DEPARTMENT APPLICATION
In addition to the university application, students must also submit a departmental application to their program(s) of interest, which includes an Information Form, Statement of Purpose, three Letters of Recommendation, a copy of the University Application (or receipt if paying online), and unofficial transcripts for each college or university attended. Application packets are available for download below or can be requested via email to psycapps@csusb.edu. Please refer to these packets for specific instructions on how to apply to each psychology graduate program.
